Ah, finally on the upswing.
It's been crazy busy the last few weeks and I feel like I had no time to truly recover. I still have a residual cough thing going on, but it's nothing like before.
Holiday season has kicked off in the photography business. I'm busier than ever, and it's tricky to keep up with. Finding our groove slowly but surely.
I'm looking forward to finishing up our Halloween costumes, corn maze, and pumpkin picking this week.
Have a good one!

I see my last post was about sickness and so is this post!
I felt better for about 3 or 4 days after the cold I posted about last time. Then I got hit with a horrible cough, lost my voice, and couldn't sleep. I'm still sick but slowly feeling better.
The beginning of school always hits us hard with sickness that we pass around and around.
I have gotten a ton of work done though. Linc also got sick and was laying down most of yesterday. It was like heaven! We cuddled while I worked and he watched Power Rangers.
Now, I'm planning our Halloween costumes and meal prepping.

Ah, the first sickness has struck us.
I'm sick with a cold, of course ahead of a crazy week, long work weekend, and Ryan out of town the week after that.
Someone send me a giant box of wine.
This weekend has been a good one though. I went out shopping alone for several hours, which was heaven, and today we're all still in pajamas while the kids are watching some god awful show on Netflix and I'm editing.
Hope everyone's weekend has been amazing.

A miracle happened today.
We were 15 minutes early getting out the door for school.
After a short and exhausting trip for photos, I was ready to be lazy today, but there is too much to be done.
Walked the kids to school, dropped Romy off at preschool, went to the gym, then Target, then grocery shopped, then picked up Romy, and back home to persuade Lincoln to nap, edited, still have laundry and picking up the kids to do. Not to mention dinner and homework.
Ryan is working late tonight so we'll see how much wine I'll need at bedtime. ;)
Hope everyone's day is great!

It's my birthdayyyy.
Had a great day eating sushi, getting pampered. The kids all made me adorable cards and I had brownies with ice cream for dessert.
School was mostly a success again today. Zach had one frustrating moment involving a calculator, but we talked through it. He always learns from these things.
Maddie is continuing to have great days (I'm shocked). Brody has fallen in with a group of kids and has had a great time with them. Wyatt is friends with the entire school already.
Tomorrow is another busy day!
I'm heading to bed.

School was a success! Everyone made it on time, everyone was ready, and NO meltdowns. It was crazy busy, but that's normal.
Brody felt way better after making friends with a group of boys who welcomed him in. Zachary bonded with another student over their love of the color red. Wyatt played hard all day and learned about bacteria. Maddie said she had the "best day EVER".
Of course, this morning, Zachary awoke at 5:30am puking. He threw up several times and was so sad to miss the second day of school. He hasn't thrown up since 8:00am so hopefully it's over and he can go back.
We saw Maddie off on the bus and walked the big boys to school.
Now, I'm just trying to keep track of Lincoln and make sure he doesn't cause mass destruction.

I spent most of last night stressing out about the start of school.
I'm unfamiliar with the processes of this new school and the kids are nervous. I've been going over and over in my head: what time to wake up, get ready, make breakfast, get the kids ready, make sure bags and lunches make it out the door, walk them to school with time to spare, stop by office to set up meeting, take kids to their classrooms.
I'm sure it'll be fine, but it's hard being in a new situation with schools and special needs children with IEPs.
I'm up and ready to roll!
Keep your fingers crossed this day is smooth.
