Do you ever feel like you get so caught up in the hustle and bustle that you're not really enjoying life? Maybe that's the wrong wording..
It's not that I don't enjoy life, it's just that I feel too busy to notice that I enjoy it.
The school hustle, making lunches, getting kids ready and out the door, preschool drop offs and pick ups, grocery shopping, following Linc around 24/7, homework and projects, sports, music practice, everything just piles on until another week/month/year has passed and you don't even know what you did.
We are making a conscious effort to slow down. Getting out for fun, sitting at home in our pjs on Saturdays, less obligations, less things to do. Days where the only thing on the agenda is being together.
We went to the coast yesterday with no agenda at all. It was so amazing to just breathe and enjoy it. We explored new beaches and coves, wandered aimlessly around the cute little town, with no time frame and no where to be.
We all loved every second of it.
Here's to our year of cancelling plans, less sports, less on the to-do list.
