Last Second Valentine's Party

Last Second Valentine's Party

So today when I was going to have the kids' Valentine's treats delivered to their school, I found out that their new schools do not allow that.

#momfail

It was about 3 hours before they got home from school that I decided to have a Valentine's Day Party for them and the neighbor kids. I went and bought a bunch of V-Day themed treats, a couple decorations (thank you Hobby Lobby 40%!), and started setting up.

I had several containers and cute cups for putting stuff in, so luckily that was taken care of.

I set it all up ASAP so it would be ready when the kids got home from school. It was pretty simple, even with Lincoln following me around and eating things...

I got the heart table decor, the banner, and the roses from Hobby Lobby for less than $10!

I already had the cake plates; the donuts, cupcakes, and chocolate covered pretzels were all bought pre-made from the grocery store. No fancy homemade stuff for this last second party.

The kids were so, so excited when they got home! Which, you know, I was relieved because I scrambled lol.

It was a fun experience though, even with the absolute scrambling. I loved being able to surprise them. We also invited a few neighbor kids over to enjoy the ridiculous amount of sweets I bought.

Anyway, I highly recommend throwing a surprise Valentine's Day party for your kids.

10/10 would do again
